Zion National Park

Zion National Park is located in Southwest Utah, close to the city of Springdale. The park was established on November 19, 1919.

What it Has to Offer

Zion has great hiking trails for quick day trips in and around the canyon area. If you are a little more experienced the park also offers trails for overnight backpacking and hiking. A permit is needed, but it is worth the process.

Zion National Park is great for climbing as well. The 2000 foot cliffs of the canyons make it a great area for all kinds of climbs. It has over 300 routes which range from bouldering to ice climbing in the right time of the year.

 Zion Canyons Adventure

The Virgin River lets visitors experience activities like Kayaking or River tubing. In some areas you can even hike through the river, which is a great time.

Horses are a unique and cool way to adventure through the park. They provide a hand full of trails that the horses are aloud to go on. There are even overnight trips you can take with the horses which seems like a lot of fun.

Rating

This is only my first park so I don't have other parks to go off of, but overall Zion National Park is amazing. If you are into hiking it is a great place to visit. camping is an option here, but it doesn't seem to be the focal point so if that is what you are looking for maybe search for another park.

Since it is my first park I won't be able to rank it yet, but as time goes on I will start adding the parks to a list. #1 being the highest ranked park and the lowest number being the worst, but all of the parks are still great.
